This ARD - Scope Cover Compatible ARD is designed to fit the Vortex line of Viper HST 6-24x50 optics. Please note that this Tenebraex ARD fits the Objective side of the optic. The official Tenebraex Part number for this product is VV0050-ARD
Q: What is the difference between an ‘FCR’ Scope Cover, and an ‘FCV’ Scope Cover? A: Some scope models don’t require a Tenebraex adapter ring to attach the Scope Cover, so you will only need to purchase the Scope Cover itself (FCV). Most optics, however, require a Tenebraex adapter ring to interface our covers with the scope (FCR). Our fit guide already has this sorted for you, simply purchase the parts designated for your model.
Q: What are Tenebraex Scope Covers made from? A: Tenebraex Tactical Tough Scope Covers are constructed of a blend of plastic capable of withstanding temperature extremes (+/-) rated for Mil spec applications.
Q: What is the difference between a Scope Cover Kit and a Scope Cover? Which do I order if I want Scope Covers for both ends of my scope? A: Some optic models have full accessory kits created for them which include scope covers for both ends. If there is a Kit listed for your scope model, order the Kit. If there is no Kit listed for your model, you can order individual parts and they will be clearly marked either Ocular (eyepiece) or Objective (bell).
Q: Can I get a scope cover that will attach to the ARD I purchased? A: The vast majority of our killFlash® ARDs are Scope Cover compatible and can be used with our Tactical Tough covers providing protection to the ARD, and another level of protection for the optic glass. First, be sure that you are looking at the listing for your exact scope model, and if the ARD listed is designated as “Scope Cover Compatible”, then YES, a scope cover will attach to it! Next, be sure to order the Scope Cover that is listed for the objective end of your optic.
Q: Will Tenebraex Scope Covers attach to the sunshade provided in the box from my scope manufacture? A: Typically, the answer is NO. We manufacture Tenebraex parts to interface directly with the optic itself, not with accessories.
Q: How do I install the Tenebraex Adapter Ring(s) on my scope so I can attach the Scope Covers? A: We make several different Adapter Rings to interface with the various sizes, shapes and thread rings found on optics. For instructions, please use the contact us form to ask us questions.
Q: What clearance over my rail will I need to use Tenebraex Flip Covers? A: Every Tenebraex part is designed to work seamlessly with your optic and the firearm it is mounted on.
